Hey all, we just went digital for the tachometer on our Chieftain. Anyone have interest in the removed parts (2 short cables with sheaths, 2 long cables sans sheaths, 2 right angle drives, mechanical tachometer)? All parts are in as removed condition. Not looking to make money off of it, just hoping to help someone else out since some of these parts are like hen's teeth.

Which digital tach are you using and how do you like it so far. What was the installation like. We are using the Aerospace Logic TM202. Pros: both tachs in one unit, so no instrument panel rework required. display is clear and looks good, pilots prefer it over the other digital tachs we're using PMA/STC/AML for our airplanes. set arcs in the field (may be a con for some people) Cons: pickup is at the magneto, so you have extra wires in the engine bay which I don't really like as the conditions are sort of harsh out there. Also makes a little more work during a magneto swap. Biggest problem with install is again due to the pickup being at the magneto instead of the ignition switch, you have to run wiring all the way from the instrument panel out to the engine bay. Along with that, the wiring harness furnished with the unit is too short so we had to extend it. Also need to purchase your own tach drive caps as the install kit does not include them. Other than that it was easy, tap into any one of the engine gauge power wires and grab a voltage input from the engine instrument light dimmers for brightness control.

We are using the Electronics International Tachs as we upgrade our cockpit dashboards and have had good results. You do have to install 2 units but they pickup off the mag switches so wiring is pretty easy Attachments:
