I received these pictures from an aerial survey operator in Canada. This aircraft had 16000+ hours on it. PA-31 Spar crack pictures.pdf (358.06 KB)

Interesting - We have a few approaching 40,000 hours and the spar web area is still lookin good.
Were you able to glean any more info from it? I do remember a few years back something like this also from Canada - maybe these are the same pics?

I looked at the aging aircraft posts and these are the same pictures. Goldak Aerial Survey aircraft.

Yep - and if I remember correctly it was a -300?
The navajo is quite a bit better constructed in this area so hopefully we don't see the same problems in the future
