Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this one. Our organization would like to extensively modify a Piper Chieftain and having access to the original drawings/blueprints of the wings and nacelles would a must. To which doors should I knock? Thanks for your help!

Piper Aircraft( www.piper.com/ ) still holds the Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) meaning Piper holds all rights to the drawings, anything and everything PA-31. Piper is not very sharing with that kind of stuff but, you can ask. For many years Colemill created the Piper PA-31 Panther including propellers, wingtips and engine improvements. When I search for the Panther modification Mike Jones Aircraft ( www.mikejonesaircraft.com/ ) comes up. I'm assuming Mike Jones holds the STCs for the Panther now. For Colemill to change so many critical components he would have needed the drawings or at least created his own. I would contact Mike Jones and see if he is interested in working with you.
