Any of you pros have favorite tips for dealing with stiff firewall cutoffs? We have one in particular that takes a pretty healthy pull to activate and more importantly is pretty reluctant to go back afterward. We've replaced the cable and done all sorts of finagling with the cable rigging, rebuilt the valve a few times (each time with a different guy's favorite fuel-proof grease that they swear by), etc. and still about the same. At this point I'm kind of of the opinion that as long as it will work you'll find a way to pull it if you ever had a real fire, but I'm more concerned that a guy is going to test it and not reseat it all the way and have a restriction to flow.

Our latest we had it turned out to be the lube....kinda seemed like someone decided to fuel lube the crap out of the o rings
Once that was removed ''twas silky smooth-
Good luck!

I believe the book calls out DC55
We haven't had issues once we got the ones with fuel lube on then straightened out
